Job Description
About Our Programs
Activity and Camp days are single day events that provide an opportunity for children to connect, improve mental health literacy, develop help-seeking behaviours, and provide a fun day out for some much needed respite. Activities can include ice skating, laser tag, bowling, movies, putt putt golf, and beach activities just to name a few! Activity days may be held on week days or weekends.
Camps are multi-day programs that provide an opportunity for connection, growth, and empowerment. Young people learn about mental illness and help-seeking behaviours, develop coping skills and resilience, build peer connection, participate in recreational and connection activities such as canoeing, archery, giant swings, go-karts and much more! Our camps run from approximately
Connect sessions are “hosted” by Kookaburra Kids staff and volunteers online and are designed to be a fun, safe area where young people can express themselves in a supportive environment. Our connect sessions are interactive and follow a similar format as our activity days and camps; incorporating fun with mental health education.
Our camps and day activities are held in various locations across Australia, throughout the year.
The Opportunity
As the Health Data & Evaluation Analyst you will be instrumental in ensuring the success of Kookaburra Kids' Health Data and Evaluation Improvement Project by consolidating, analysing, and interpreting program and participant data to strengthen the organisation's approach to data management, reporting and program evaluation.
With a strong focus on collaboration, you will work closely with the Head of Clinical Delivery to consolidate historical program datasets, establish a unified evaluation dataset, analyse participant and program data, and develop baseline reporting that supports organisational learning, continuous improvement and evidence-informed decision-making. You will combine technical data management with health program evaluation.
This role is not just about data, though. You will bring practical recommendations to strengthen AKKF's future evaluation capability beyond the life of the project, having hands-on involvement and impact in shaping the lives of young people. You will help to shine a light on youth mental health promotion, prevention and wellbeing through your interpretation of the data. You will help to ensure compliance and best-practice data governance, keeping our young people safe.
This is a fixed term 3-month contract for 3 days per week.
